Editing Review
Throughout the edit, I changed and exported all the video files the boom mic audio that we recorded. that's why all the audio is blue except for the little bits I changed after that. We had two different audio clips for one of the last scenes so I changed the audio in the master to the better sounding one.
This clip is where I added the sniper scope. I added the scope and zoomed in on the actual video to a x12 zoom which is the same as the scopes normal zooming. I ended up using Ultra Key to get rid of the green screen effect. I tracked Louis' body throughout the clip every few frames which gave the clip a realistic look to it. It took me a few tries as I tried to clip it to Louis' head which moved around too much within the shot. As I had zoomed the clip in I moved the full video around rather than the scope becasue thats what I had to do to make it look better.
This shot is where I added a gunshot sound effect which also featured with the 2 years later placard and at the end of the video. This was off a youtube, copyright free video which had a cocking effect and a gunshot sound effect. I was going to do it for a title card but decided it was slightly overused and thought it would be best without a title screen with that effect. In the end, I ran out of time to make a title sequence so thought it would be fine without. If I had time I would have had a sequence showing key events from the short film.
With this section, the cameraman had switched to doing audio so our new cameraman didn't know much about filming. I had to use warp stabilizers to make the video look more professional. This happened with most of the park clips and therefore took a lot longer to edit. The rendering time was slow and often crashed premiere. I definitely had to overuse the stabiliser and ended up asking our cameraman to continue with the job we gave him.
At the start and end of each scene, it went to a fade in/out l added fades which I changed the type each time so it didn't look like I was just repeating the exact same effect. I originally had no effect for this and it made it look unprofessional.
This was one of the effects I used. I used this one to pass the time within the story so that the viewers understood that Louis hadn't died and also understood the last part where my character states that Louis had been chasing him for 2 years.
This is my final edit:
